Product Assistance: For The Table
Placemats
Placemats are small in size with rectangular, round or oval shapes. They are available in various colors and materials. A placemat serves to protect your table from heat and scratches, and is a wonderful way to create a unique look all your own.
Similar to tablecloths and napkins, placemats can be made of cotton, linen, silk and cotton/polyester blends. Cotton, Linen, and Silk are machine washable, and require ironing, while cotton/polyester blends are easy-care (machine washable/no iron). Cotton, Linen, and Silk placemats are typically used for more formal settings while cotton/polyester blends are used for casual everyday dining. However, placemats are available in more than just traditional fabrics...
...from cotton, linen, leather, wicker, capiz shell, mirror, leather, straw, beaded, vinyl coated...and more.
...when it comes to placemats just about any material goes!
Try a Pimpernel or Lady Clare "wipe-clean" placemat for everyday dining, or even a vinyl coated placemat for outdoor dining. There are no rules when choosing a particular placemat. Simply find a material that appeals to you and compliments your china and have fun!
