Missoni Towels and Robes
Missoni’s newest line of towels and bath goods has recently hit the shelves at Pioneer Linens. Missoni, for those of your unfamiliar with the brand, is the brainchild of an Italian designer that has a 50-plus year tradition for fine clothing and home items such as towels and robes. Each year the patterns created are named for a letter. This year the letter is ‘I.’ and all of the differing names in the collection begin with that letter. The previous year was ‘H’ and before that, ‘G.”
Missoni Fabric
Pioneer Linens carries a variety of the new collection, which includes bath towels, beach towels and robes. In vibrant colors and exciting prints, this year’s collection rivals others in its boldness. In bath towels and robes Missoni features the print Iakko, which showcases bold stripes; one side in a feels like a soft valor texture and the other a comfortable terrycloth. The pattern is reversed on the other side of the towel. They also introduced Ibbu. One side the background is black with white and colored lines creating boxes. The other side is again reversible. The robes have different patterns on each side. Missoni towels are either jacquard woven or have a fiber-reactive print.
Missoni Zigzag
In beach towels, Ina is a new take on a classic zebra pattern, again reversible. The towel itself is almost oversized, perfect to take to the beach because it will spread out well. The other pattern is called Izar and highlights a zigzagged stripe pattern. One side of the towel has a black background with different-colored zigzags while the reverse has colored stripes with black zigzags running through it.
