A special needle lace known as Point de Venice was first crafted on a small island off the coast of Italy. Today Burano lace is considered one of the world's most exquisite handmade Italian laces, and the lace which makes up this unique sheet set is meticulously made by hand by the women of Burano, in an artisan tradition born over five centuries ago. The intricacy of the Burano lacework requires three months to complete one set of lace for just one set of sheets. This Point de Venice lace is expertly inset into sumptuous Italian-made Egyptian cotton 1020 thread count ivory sheeting, creating graceful detail for a thoroughly luxurious night's sleep.
