In 1883 while in France to study the art of soapmaking, young Jimmy Bronnley stumbled across the secret of French marzipan and instantly realized the process could be used for soap manufacture. A moment of genius! In a modest shed in the London suburbs, Jimmy applied this "French process" to soap making and produced the world's first "French Milled" (triple milled) fine soaps - and changed the worldwide soap making industry forever.Today, Bronnley remains the leading British soap and toiletries company famous for the abundance of natural almond oil, herb, flower and tree extracts blended into our soaps and toiletries. The magic of soap making demands skill, fantastically expensive materials and careful attention to detail. Essential oils made from plant extracts, superfatting - the addition of lovely avocado oil, almond oil or beeswax, to protect, moisten and soften the skin, and triple milling - which assures blended consistency - must combine to perfection to produce their soaps.
